All the priests of the Baker Diocese are presently gathered together with their Bishop for their annual Clergy Assembly at the Powell Butte Diocesan and Retreat Center. We have limited connectivity to the Internet, but will do my best to share a few reflections as time allows.
The theme for this year's meeting is the Theology of the Body, the working title St John Paul II gave to 129 talks he delivered between September 1979 and November 1984. It is a biblical reflection on the meaning of human embodiment as male and female, particularly as it concerns the call of the two to become "one flesh."
The speaker, Damon Owens will be presenting a talk about the same topic at St Francis Church on 27th Street, Bend, tonight at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
